DUCK was founded by Michel Straetmans in 1970. Until then, Michel Straetmans had been active in the fresh meat industry. His passion for dog competitions brought him to developing a complete deep-frozen meal for dogs.

The first condition was developing natural food that the dog really liked. All the meat used comes from beef that is approved for human consumption. In order to guarantee constant quality, the Straetmans family developed a procedure for processing all raw materials deep-frozen.
